I graduated from Antioch University in 1992 with a Masters of Arts in Counseling Psychology. After working in several local mental health agencies, I started my private practice in April, 1996.
I have focused both my therapy practice and my post-graduate training in two areas which I refer to as the "deep personal" and the "deep social". For the deep personal, I have immersed myself in education and consultation in several psychotherapeutic schools, including Interpersonal, Relational, and Object Relations. If you are interested, I would be happy to explain what each of these approaches brings to my work.
For the deep social or interpersonal, I trained intensively for eight years in group psychotherapy and workshop facilitation. My training led to Board Certification as a group psychotherapist. I presently serve on the Board of Governors for the Puget Sound Group Psychotherapy Network.
My pastimes have included woodworking, mountaineering, music, and traveling. For 20 years, I have lived in the Pacific Northwest where I am raising a family.
