Over the years of providing psychotherapy, I remain moved and challenged by a basic fact about people: while we long for growth and change, we are powerfully "wired" for stability. Personal history powerfully determines how we think and feel - and most importantly, how we attach and relate to others. As much as we wish for change in our lives we are predisposed to maintain the status quo, keeping things "safe", familiar and unhappy.  My training and approach to psychotherapy focuses specifically on this dilemma, to help people move toward growth.

The good news is that our minds continue to grow and develop throughout our lifetime. I provide an optimal therapeutic setting for my clients to learn about themselves and how their early "hard-wiring" effects present-day relationships and well-being. This increased self-knowledge brings greater personal choice, and helps to change the status quo.

My strong belief is that therapy should help move you toward increased efficacy  in life, and improved satisfaction in relationships. I actively help people get unstuck, deepen their effectiveness in relationships, and improve their sense of well-being.
